The funeral of former Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu took place in his hometown of Owo, Ondo State. The funeral was attended by numerous dignitaries, who came to pay their respects to the late governor.
Akeredolu was laid to rest on Friday, following an interment service at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Owo.
The funeral was attended by dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, various Senators, Southwest governors, members of the Nigeria Bar Association, and others. The gathering paid their respects to the late governor and his family.
The late governor passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 67. He had been battling prostate cancer, and ultimately succumbed to the disease while in a German hospital.
