Abuja Businessman Paid Fulani Herdsmen N200,000 Each To Keep Off His Land


Mr. Akintayo Adaralegbe, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of T. Pumpy Concept LTD, Abuja’s largest estate development company, has resettled scores of Fulani men on his estate land in phase 24 Lugbe. Mr. Adaralegbe, who gave an average of N200,000 to each of the 52 Fulani households, said his gesture was made in good faith in an attempt to give them a fresh start and address their problems.


The original allottee had been compensated for phase 24 of his Land, and bags the farmers had been compensated previously. During a recent meeting with the various Fulani leaders on the property, they expressed their gratitude for the T. Pumpy boss’s kind gesture and promised to vacate his land in a month to allow for further development of the property.


Mr. Adaralegbe in a chat with reporters noted that he believes in peaceful resolutions of issues and happy at how it ended in harmony.


He did, however, state that he preferred the new approach because “anyone could have been in their shoes,” adding that “anyone could have been in their shoes.” Top celebrities such as actor Femi Adebayo, Ayo Ajewole(woli Agba) Sulaiman Alao Malaika, and Femi Oladele recently visited Adaralegbe, who is known for his good heart (solar).
