A horrific accident has occurred on Saturday night at the ever-busy Imo State University (IMSU) junction in Owerri, Nigeria, leaving seven people dead and several others injured.
The tragic incident unfolded around 7 PM when a heavy-duty truck driving against traffic rammed into three fully-loaded mini-buses at the Imo State University (IMSU) junction in Owerri, Nigeria. According to sources, each of the mini-buses was carrying nine passengers at the time of the collision.
In the aftermath of the accident at the Imo, survivors whose number is yet to be ascertained have been rushed to the Federal University of Technology Hospital Owerri (FUTHO) for urgent medical care. Sadly, the death toll has risen to seven, with the deceased having been taken to the morgue.
Attempts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) have so far been unsuccessful.
