A number of prominent organizations, including the JNI, AI, PTA, NUT, and the House of Representatives, have condemned the attack and called on the government to take immediate action to rescue the victims.

On Thursday, bandits attacked the Kuriga community in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, shooting at and abducting at least 280 pupils and teachers from the local schools.
