The Lamidi Apapa-led Labour Party (LP) group has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his Supreme Court victory, stating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate’s election is well-deserved.
The group criticised LP presidential candidate Peter Obi and his legal team for presenting the worst election petition in Nigeria’s history. Obi and his PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenged Tinubu’s election in the last election.
However, the Supreme Court panel dismissed Obi’s appeals for lack of merit, upholding Tinubu’s electoral victory. The group praised Atiku for his best interest in the election and criticized Obi for filing a meaningless petition.
