Former Action Democratic Party (ADP) presidential candidate, Sani Yabagi has condemned the recent meeting held by southern governors in Lagos State. Earlier today, the Southern Governors held a meeting where they rejected the just passed Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). The governors stated that the bill was lopsided and against the southern part of the country.
According to Peoples Gazette, Mr. Yabagi while briefing Channels TV on the matter, disclosed that the southern governors meeting was an effort to stand against the progress of the Northern part of the country.
He likened their actions to the likes of Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu who are respectively agitating for Yoruba Nation and Biafra Republic.
As quoted, Mr Yabagi said “All the things listed in that communique from their meeting seems to be a kind of ganging up against the North”
Yabagi went further to reveal that it is unfortunate to have governors who have no national interest at heart. He berated them for not accepting open grazing and the PIB. He finally added that their meeting was out of place and against president Muhammadu Buhari.
