Many who do not understand Wole Soyinka are on the social media bashing the Nobel laureate.
I implore radical youths to think and read well before writing. For all we write are being recorded.
Wole Soyinka has great defaults, but he is one of the greatest Nigerians ever. Not only because he has been a Literary giant, but he has had a magnificent presence in the political space since the first republic.
He only stamped our positions about Obi-dients. But Soyinka is wrong of being a political speedbraker!
Afraid of a Nigerian revolution, Soyinka believes radical ways will not bring a new Nigeria, but maximizing reasoning. Kongi wants to change Naija without real actions. That’s day dreaming.
But Obi-dients are anti-intellectual mob that is being used for fascist ends truly. They lack real ideals and values that gears towards truly changing society, hence they support all lies and impunity as long as it suits their political spectrum.
Only #RevolutionNow from below, and driven towards building a new Socialist, democratic and pro-masses government of the people can bring the Nigeria of our desires.Most Obi-dients came about and accept that name with the belief that they can use mass campaigns to bring in one of the “Ogas at the top” to build a new Nigeria. Soyinka too!
Alas, the Tinubus and Atiku’s are bigger fascists who would do any and everything to acquire offices and powers to keep on with their primitive accumulations, greed, and power. The why the elections were ruthlessly rigged by the major parties and even the Labour Party, to produce the biggest rigger as president-elect.
This idea of “reformism and revolution from the top” has failed both Soyinka and Obi-dients now.
