Tochi Gospel vowed that the Nollywood actress would die this year.

A gospel artiste and song writer, Tochi Gospel, has threatened to kill a Nollywood actress and producer, Chioma Ifemeludike.

In a Facebook message obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday, Tochi Gospel vowed that the Nollywood actress would die this year.

The threat is coming after Ifemeludike expressed support for the presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, in the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

Ifemeludike wrote on her Facebook page: “My vote is for the SUG President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, president of the oppressed and brutalised people of Nigeria. #SoworeMagashi2023.”

However, the popularly gospel artiste in his threat message written on his Facebook page; said, “Keep working for Sowore to blackmail men of God.

“This year, you will die mysteriously. Watch It. If you don’t go down 6FT, Know That I’m not TG,” he vowed.

Meanwhile, Ifemeludike has raised the alarm over the threat to her life.

She wrote “I’m bringing this to the general public as my evidence to the open threat to my life and to warn the general public to beware of this man Tochi Gospel, at this time when the security in Nigeria is volatile. @TheSun @vanguardngrnews @YeleSowore @AishaYesufu @GuardianNigeria.”

It is not clear yet the steps the Nigerian police and other security agencies are taking on the death threats but SaharaReporters learnt that the matter has been brought to their attention.

Question: Do you think the threat is necessary? If no, what do you suggest should be done?
