Nigerian Army Officer Apprehended For Supplying Weapons And Uniforms To Terrorists In Zamfara State


The Nigerian Army(NA) is the biggest part of the Nigerian Armed Forces and is liable for land fighting activities. It is represented by the Nigerian Army Council(NAC).


Throughout the long term and tallying, the Nigerian armed force has been called upon by the Federal government to battle banditry and psychological oppression in Nigeria, the course which the greater part of them have forfeited their lives during the time spent battling.


Terrorism on the contrary, is the use of unlawful violence against people or property to achieve political objectives.
A Nigerian soldier and his girlfriend were recently arrested for supplying arsenals and military uniforms to armed terrorists in Zamfara state.
The Governor of Zamfara, Mr. Bello Matawalle, who was represented by his deputy chief of staff, Bashir Maru at a press conference in Dutse on Friday, March 5, 2021, said the soldier was arrested by the military through community-driven intelligence.


“The military recently arrested an army officer and his girlfriend who were engaged in assisting bandits with military uniforms and ammunition in active connivance with other saboteurs. This arrest was only made possible through community-driven intelligence,” said Mr. Bashir.


The military officer confessed that he had dispatched lots of ammunition such as AK-47 Rifles, short pistols, machetes, poison daggers, army bullet proved vests and uniforms and lots more.


The governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the courage and patriotism of the individuals who came forward with the information that led to the arrest of the traitor.
Taking a crystal review at the outbreak of criminal cases such as banditry, terrorism and kidnappings, we’ll see that there is rapid increase on this criminal activities in our mother land.


Among all the African Countries, Nigeria is now the talk of other Nations of the world on the subject of banditry, terrorism and other criminal activities. Nigeria is now name-tagged, ‘the Home of tugs and hoodlums’.


Citizens are no longer free to move around the Country the way they want due to the Phobia of terrorists and bandits’ attacks.
Reports has it that 85% of arsenals in the camps of terrorists and bandits are given to them by top politicians and highly influential citizens of our Country, as people would often say that this hoodlums don’t have the financial capacity to purchase such arsenals.
