Lagos Police Raid House Producing Fake Alcohol in Agege

In a recent raid, the Lagos State Police’s Isokoko Division discovered a house in Agege where fake alcoholic drinks were being produced. The police seized thousands of bottles of these drinks and arrested several individuals involved in the production. This discovery highlights the problem of counterfeit alcohol in Lagos and across Nigeria.

The Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the raid in a video posted on Twitter on Thursday.

In the police raid, four individuals allegedly involved in the illegal production of fake alcoholic drinks were arrested, and a large amount of these drinks were recovered from the house. Hundeyin stated that the arrested individuals would be charged and prosecuted accordingly. The police are continuing their investigation into the production and distribution of counterfeit alcoholic drinks in Lagos.
