Katsina State Government handed over fifteen repaired vehicles to a representative of the police command on Wednesday.
At a brief ceremony held at the Katsina State Government House Banquet Hall, Mukhtar Aliyu Saulawa, Deputy Chief of Staff in the Deputy Governor’s Office, explained that the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, had graciously approved N50 million to fund the repairs.
The Deputy Chief of Staff explained that the intervention was in response to a special appeal made by the State Police Command through the Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa. The repair work was carried out by local mechanics and panel beaters, many of whom were students from the Katsina Youth Craft Village.
Ibrahim Sa’ad, the DC Operations of the Katsina State Police Command, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Governor for his vision and commitment to restoring peace in the state. This act of repairing the police vehicles was seen as a significant step towards achieving this goal, and Sa’ad expressed his deep appreciation for the Governor’s efforts.
Ibrahim Sa’ad assured that the repaired vehicles would be put to good use and well maintained, so that the benefits of the Governor’s gesture could be fully realized. He also expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in the police by the Governor and pledged to continue working tirelessly to ensure public safety in the state.
