When asked about the debates over the number of wives and children his father had fathered, Olatosho clarified that his father had, in fact, left behind 13 wives and 53 children. Olatosho dismissed rumors of his father having upwards of 100 children, stating confidently that the Oshoffa family knows their true number and maintains a close-knit bond.
Olatosho Mathew Oshoffa revealed that the enduring unity among his father’s 53 children can be attributed to the strong sense of identity instilled by Bilewu Oshoffa while he was still alive.
Olatosho shared that his late father would gather all the children together and remind them that they were, first and foremost, children of Oshoffa and not merely the children of their respective mothers.
