Bandits Abduct 16 People in Attack on Tsangaya School in Sokoto State

Bandits have reportedly abducted 16 people – 15 students and a woman – from a Tsangaya school in Gada LGA of Sokoto State.

Sources have reported that the abduction took place on Saturday morning, March 9th, 2024, at the Tsangaya school in Gada LGA.

According to Channel Television, police authorities in Sokoto State have confirmed that the abduction occurred around 10:00 am when bandits attacked the village of Gidan Bukaso.

As the bandits were leaving the village, they noticed students running to their rooms and kidnapped some of them.

Ahmed Rufai, a spokesman for the Sokoto State Police Command, confirmed that the Sangaya Islamic School belongs to Malam Liman Abubakar. The abd¥cted woman, who was also taken from the school, has been identified as a teacher. This incident occurred just hours after bandits abs¥cted hundreds of students and staff members in Kaduna State.
