Injured Sadiq Umar who was declared unfit for Nigeria before the 2023 AFCON opener in Côte d’Ivoire came on as substitute for Real Sociedad in their Copa Del Rey match few days after he left the Super Eagles camp.
Sadiq Umar came on to replace Andre Silva in the 73rd minute in a game that ended 0:2 in favour of Real Sociedad.
Paul Onuachu replaced Umar on the eve of the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire after he was said to have suffered a knee injury.
