Nigerian singer and dancer Korra Obidi has shared a harrowing account of her experience being attacked with a knife and acid while live-streaming to her fans.
In a post shared on Instagram on Thursday, Korra Obidi disclosed that the vicious assault took place in the United Kingdom.
Korra Obidi provided additional details about the attacker, describing her as a 5-foot-tall black woman, and shared her belief that this assault is a culmination of the hateful remarks she’s faced online in the past. In a deeply personal statement, the artist emphasized the seriousness of the incident, using it as a wake-up call to address the persistent issue of hate speech and violence against women in today’s society.
