On Wednesday, the body of the late Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, was flown to Akure from Ibadan ahead of his funeral. The governor’s death was mourned by many across the state, and his remains were transported with the utmost respect.

In honor of the late Ondo State Governor, Mr. Akeredolu, the state government has declared Thursday, February 22 and Friday, February 23, 2024 as public holidays. These days will allow citizens time to mourn and reflect on Governor Akeredolu’s legacy.

The funeral of the late Ondo State Governor, Mr. Akeredolu will take place in his hometown of Owo. The governor passed away on December 27 after a prolonged illness. The funeral will be a chance for the people of Ondo State to pay their final respects to their former governor.
