Commuters Stranded As ‘Obidients’ Grounds Lekki

Traffic in Lekki has been halted as supporters of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, defied police instructions and held a campaign rally at the Lekki toll gate.

The ‘Obidients’ as they are fondly called, gathered on Saturday morning at the toll-gate despite heavy police presence on the ground.

The Lekki-Epe Expressway was nearly at a standstill when Purpleworld observed private and commercial bus drivers seeking alternate routes out of the congestion.
