New York City and its surrounding areas were rocked by a magnitude 4.8 earthquake on Friday morning, causing shaking and disruption in the region.
This was made known by Nigerian human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, who lives in the New Jersey area, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck the region on Friday morning. Sowore confirmed the news to PurpleWorld at approximately 3:50 pm Nigerian time.
He also tweeted, “Just experienced an Earthquake in New Jersey!”
The earthquake in New Jersey comes just days after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan, causing significant damage and loss of life.
