In a bid to end the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, president Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with Governor Sim Fubara and former governor Peter Odili, Peak News reports.
The Publication Reports that Vice President Kashima Shettima and other key Rivers stakeholders are also present at the meeting.
Governor Fubara fell out with his godfather and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, in October 2023.
About 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Wike have decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmakers are bent on impeaching Governor Fubara in the coming days.
