The convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, on Wednesday, lamented that what a lot of workers earn in oil-producing countries around the world per hour – $25 (N30,000) – is what Nigerian workers earn in a month.
Sowore who made this known in a series of posts on his verified X handle, asked how Nigerians receiving N30,000 monthly were managing to survive.
The activist noted that meanwhile, Nigerian politicians in the National Assembly earn N14 million per month plus N160 million SUVs per year.
The former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) noted that the agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is to completely wipe the struggling people of Nigeria off the face of the earth.
He wrote, “I am asking again and again, how do persons (Nigerians) receiving NGN30,000 live on that? How would they pay transportation to work or anywhere with N30, 000 per month and then feed, buy medicine and pay children school fees? How could people even survive under these conditions? These wicked leaders who are living large on your backs must be offloaded!
“What a lot of workers are earning in oil producing countries around the world per hour, $25 (N30,000) is what Nigerian workers are earning in a month! Meanwhile Nigerian politicians in the @nassnigeria are earning N14million per month plus N160million SUVs per year. This nonsense has totally be stopped.
“The agenda of @officialABAT and his illegitimate regime is to completely wipe the struggling people of Nigeria off the face of the earth and he won’t stop until he is stopped. This is January 2024, a good month for the final #RevolutionNow stuggle to commence,” he added.
