A popular tech enthusiast and legal practitioner, Dr. Ope Banwo berated Peter Obi for supporting the naira redesign at this critical point that the country is witnessing another election. “Any naira redesign at this point won’t deal with corruption as much as it would kill the economic strength of common Nigerians.”
Dr. Ope Banwo, a strong supporter of Peter Obi who’s known to be vocal and assertive has condemned Peter Obi’s support for naira redesign at the ‘eve’ of election because he feels it would mitigate vote-buying amongst other corrupt practices. Dr. Ope Banwo described the position to be laughable, insisting that no naira redesign would tame the culture of vote-buying amongst corrupt politicians who have mastered the craft of bribery, the naira redesign is just a game between the ruling party, we should not be part of it.
“Common Nigerians can’t buy and sell because of this policy, I don’t support it and I still can’t find any good reason why “Obidients ” are interested in this despite the obvious hardship it has caused.” Dr. Ope Banwo stated.
He however clarified that he’s a supporter of Peter Obi because he feels Obi is the most intelligent candidate listening to his ideas and visiting his past records as the Governor of Anambra state.
