The truck, which was carrying noodles and other items, was forced to stop by the crowd, who then began to take the foodstuffs, leaving the truck empty. Residents of Zaria told SaharaReporters that the looting took place after the youths blocked the truck in Dogarawa, Zaria. The youths had accused the company of raising prices without considering the financial situation of the average person, and decided to take matters into their own hands by stopping the truck and taking the foodstuffs.
