Bomb Explosion Disrupts Religious Gathering at Mindanao State University, Killing Four and Injuring Many

A bomb explosion disrupted a religious gathering at Mindanao State University, Philippines, on Sunday, leaving four dead and multiple injured.

The institution’s hospital shared photos from the attack on its Facebook page on Sunday.

The photos were captioned, “Earlier this morning, there were reports of an explosion at MSU Dimaporo Gymnasium. The blast targeted the people having religious gatherings inside the premises.

“We assisted some of the casualties brought to us with a heavy heart. First aid was applied to other casualties with major wounds and referred to APMC ASAP via university ambulance for further management.

“The university is taking every measure possible to safeguard the students, faculty, and staff. We are in deep sorrow and we hope for the best for our Pamantasang Mindanao.”
