Timber Market In Imo Raze By Fire, Goods Worth Millions Destroyed

The Timber market at the Wetheral Road area of Owerri in Imo State was razed by fire in the early hours of Saturday.

Upon visiting the scene of the fire, Punch correspondent saw residents and victims whose goods were lost in the fire lamenting their losses.

Several victims who spoke to the correspondent said the fire started around 1:00 a.m. but before they could rush to the market everything was lost in the fire.
