Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,has won the presidential election in Jigawa state, North-west Nigeria,
Tinubu won the 19 LGAs of the state with a total of 421,390 votes, according to the INEC resident electoral commissioner in the state, Muhammad Bashar, a professor, who declared Tinubu as winner at the state collation centre on Monday.
Bashar said he defeated the candidate of the People Democratic Party, (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, who scored 386,587 votes.
