Cat Video: Is Kurt Zouma’s Action Worse Than Racism? Teammate, Michail Antonio Asks

West Ham player, Michail Antonio has shared his thoughts on the backlash that has trailed the video of his teammate, Kurt Zouma drop kicking his cat.

Speaking with Football Daily, Antonio asked, “Do you think what he’s done is worse than racism? I’m not condoning the thing that is done. I don’t agree with it at all but there are people convicted of racism, being caught for racism and have played football afterwards. They have been punished. They got eight-game punishment or something like that.

“But people now calling for people to be sacked from their source of livelihood. I just want to ask this question of all the people out there. Is what he has done worse than what some people have done, who are convicted for racism?”

The video of Zouma kicking his cat had been published days back, which led to a lot of backlash on the player. He has since apologised but Adidas has withdrawn their sponsorship from him. A sponsor has withdrawn sponsorship from the club, while an animal charity in the UK, RSPCA has taken away the player’s cats.
