Violent Attack Leaves Scores Injured As Hoodlums Attack Lagos Police Station

Over 100 armed thugs descended on the Ipaja Police Station in Lagos, Nigeria, engaging in a fierce gun battle with officers on Monday, Saharareporters revealed.

While the aftermath of the attack continues to unfold, fear and uncertainty grip the local community as they await confirmation of the extent of injuries and other casualties caused by the deadly skirmish.

According to Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who spoke with reporters, he said the official count of those affected by the shootout remains unknown as authorities work to assess the damage and gather information about the victims. However, he disclosed that Police officers were mobilised to the area.

“Normalcy has been restored in the area, but I don’t have the number of the casualties yet,” he said.
