US Cancels Visas of Foreigners Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk’s Death

The United States has cancelled the visas of some foreigners who celebrated the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, the US State Department said it is taking action against visa holders who made hateful comments about Kirk’s death.

“We don’t have to host people who wish death on Americans,” the statement said. “We are identifying and removing visa holders who celebrated the terrible killing of Charlie Kirk.”

Charlie Kirk, a close ally of former President Donald Trump and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead last month while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The State Department also shared screenshots of social media posts from people in South Africa, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and Paraguay who made jokes or praised his death.

The number of cancelled visas was not revealed, but officials said the move was part of efforts to stop hate speech and protect Americans.
