Dele Farotimi, an activist Lawyer and a member of Labour Presidential Campaign Council, has tackled the All Progressive Congress Presidential’s candidate, Bola Ahmed Asiwaju regarding his claim that he built Lagos.
Farotimi gave the assertion on Friday morning while fielding questions on Arise TV’s morning show.
According to him, “The truth is this, no matter how many times Bola Tinubu might care to repeat that lie that he built Lagos, it doesn’t make it the truth. The reality on the ground is that the man built Lagos where there is no hospital fit for him to use.
“He has built Lagos where there is nobody in this building who sends their children to a school that he has built.
“The same Lagos where people are spending three to four hours to get to work and home,” he continued.
Reacting to the blue rail-line built by APC led government, he asked “What blue rail? For 16years? 16years to build how many kilometers of rail? At what cost?
“The reality is that when a lie travels for as long as Bola Tinubu’s lies, eventually it must fall flat and those lies have come to their end.”
He further ask questions regarding Tinubu’s propaganda that he built Lagos, he stated “How many years have they been building the fourth mainland bridge? At what cost? Lekki-Ikoyi bridge at what cost? How many years did they toll it for?
“They have been building Lekki-Epe expressway for the past 16years and yet to finish it, different sections of that road is already failing, we’ve been subjected to traffics on that road, in fact Tinubu built the moon, if not for him there wouldn’t have been Lagos.”
