We must not deceive ourselves. If Nigerians do not ask hard questions, nothing will change. We need to know how much has been recovered in the last ten, fifteen, even twenty years. We need to know which projects these recoveries have funded. Nigerians should be able to point to schools, hospitals, or roads that were built with EFCC recovered funds. If the government insists these projects exist, then let citizens go and touch them with their own hands. If this is not possible, then it means the so called fight against corruption is just another scam, another deception designed to pacify the poor masses while the elite continue their feast.
