
A suspected drunk driver was apprehended on Friday morning after plowing into a group of soldiers during their routine physical training near Myoung Barracks in the Morocco area of Shomolu, Lagos.
The horrific incident resulted in the deaths of four soldiers, with several others injured.
Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene marked by panic and the sight of blood everywhere.
One soldier, fortunate enough to have been positioned at the back of the group during their routine physical training, recounted his narrow escape from the suspected drunk driver who plowed into the group, claiming four lives.
Further report revealed that the vehicle was occupied by three young men suspected to be internet fraudsters, commonly known as Yahoo Boys.
Two of the occupants were said to have been apprehended, while the third managed to escape.
The military has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident as at the time of filing this report.
