Super Falcons Striker, Oparanozie Apologises To Nigerians After Defeat To England

Super Falcons Striker, Desire Oparanozie has took to her Instagram page to apologise to Nigerians after the teams lost to England at the FIFA Women’s world cup round of 16 fixture. The Nigerian striker could not convert her spot kick being the first to take the penalty shootout for Nigeria.

The Super Falcons later lost 4-2 to England on penalties leaving them out of the tournament.

However, expressing her disappointment, Desire Oparanozie took to her Instagram page to apologise to Nigerians. She said it is a very sad day for her and the team.

She wrote, “Sad day! Very disappointing to have lost through penalty and even more disappointing not to have converted mine”
