Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be installed as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland on December 21, 2025, according to a notice released ahead of the event.
The chieftaincy installation is being hosted by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, and Ayaba Abiwumi Owoade, who have invited guests to witness the traditional ceremony.
Seyi Tinubu has become more visible in public life in recent years, after his father Bola Ahmed Tinubu became the president.
His new title, Okanlomo of Yorubaland, is a traditional honour that represents strength, leadership, and service to the people.
The ceremony will also include the installation of Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State, who will receive the title of Obaloyin of Yorubaland.

The event is expected to attract traditional rulers, politicians, and other prominent guests from across the country. Organisers say official invitation cards will be released soon.
