Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has publicly accused her “temporarily estranged” husband, Ned Nwoko, of lies, emotional abuse, and attempts to control her life.
The allegations came in a series of emotional social media posts shared on Saturday, November 9, 2025.
Daniels, in the now-viral posts, called out the politician and businessman for allegedly spreading false stories about her and her family, isolating her from loved ones, and using her past mistakes to discredit her.

“You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this… and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.
She admitted to once using drugs but insisted that Nwoko was using that as a distraction from the real issues in their relationship.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs’ because you wanted something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue,” Regina said.
The actress accused Nwoko of trying to isolate her by having people close to her arrested, locking her up, and taking away her phones for weeks.
“You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so I will have no one left beside me. When I’m isolated and broken, I’ll be forced to come back to you,” she alleged.
She also claimed that Nwoko had forced doctors to inject her with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder.
“Why don’t you also tell them how you lock me up and doctors inject me with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder?” she wrote.
Regina maintained that she was never legally married to Nwoko, clarifying that no documents were ever signed.
“We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force,” she declared.
The actress concluded by thanking God for giving her strength to speak up, saying she felt ashamed that things had reached this stage.

Background: Brother’s Arrest and Family Tension
Earlier reports had revealed that Regina Daniels had accused her husband’s camp of orchestrating her brother’s detention. In a previous social media post, she described the situation as heartbreaking but said her parents had reunited to seek her brother’s release.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness. And I dare question God for putting me in this situation?” she wrote.
Regina said her brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, had been detained for weeks and expressed anger over the delay.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she said.
Weeks after reports of violence and emotional strain in their marriage surfaced, Regina appeared in a video on Friday expressing despair and suggesting that reconciling with her husband might be the only way to secure her brother’s release.
Trouble between the couple reportedly began after a video emerged showing the actress in tears, accusing Nwoko of physical abuse. Her siblings publicly supported her, alleging that the politician had repeatedly assaulted her.
Nwoko, however, denied the accusations, claiming that Regina’s alleged use of drugs and alcohol led to her emotional outbursts. Following the controversy, the actress stopped wearing her wedding ring and began referring to Nwoko as her “former husband.”
The crisis deepened when her brother was arrested in Lagos and flown to Abuja, an act the family believes was influenced by Nwoko. The senator has neither confirmed nor denied involvement.
In the Friday video, Regina expressed frustration with the police, accusing them of bias.
“I give up! What was my brother’s offence? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all,” she said tearfully.
She added that she felt powerless in the situation.
“It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins. Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way — do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammy West! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria. We lost or rather, I lost!”
As of the time of this report, Ned Nwoko has not publicly responded to Regina Daniels’ new allegations.
