Reports had it that Five students got involved in an accident on August 3rd 2021 while coming from an outing. The accident involving 5 Futa Students occurred along Cathedral Bus-stop along Oba Adesida Road , right opposite the vandalized APC office, in Akure.
On Getting to The University Premises , The Security Operatives were said to have denied them access to the school premises and also attempts to call an Ambulance from the school health center was futile as they replied ‘There was no Fuel in the Bus’.
A 200L student identified as Akinyele Daniel, a Software engineering student from the school of computing has been confirmed dead while 4 others are receiving treatment in the hospital.
Due to this, students embark on protest locking the school gates.
