Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), will lead a nationwide prayer initiative seeking divine intervention for national recovery.

The announcement was made on Friday, June 28, at a press briefing in Lagos. Represented by his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, Adeboye disclosed that the RCCG’s July 2025 thanksgiving service will carry the theme “Divine Intervention” and focus heavily on intercessory prayers for economic revitalization and national progress.

The special prayer event is slated to hold at the RCCG national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.

As millions of Nigerians continue to grapple with surging inflation, high unemployment, and rising costs of living, the revered cleric emphasized the power of faith in navigating national challenges. “These are trying times not only for Nigeria but for many nations. Yet, we believe that with faith and unity, a turnaround is possible,” Adeboye said.

He called on Nigerians to resist despair and instead speak words of faith and encouragement, insisting that a renewed mindset and spiritual focus can bring about meaningful change.

To reinforce this effort, RCCG has also established a dedicated prayer team tasked with interceding on national matters through the remainder of 2025. This includes focused prayers on agriculture, environmental concerns, and the growing threats posed by climate change.
