Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has kicked off his reelection campaign efforts, calling on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members to rally behind him in his ‘March to 2026.’
According to reports, Adeleke made this known on Friday, during a recent stakeholders’ meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osogbo. He stressed the importance of highlighting his administration’s successes in order to secure future electoral victories.
He called on the party members to “dominate the stage” by showcasing the positive impact his government has made, aiming to cement his reelection bid in 2026.
“I task leaders in and out of governments to commence the March to 2026. As we are nearing midterm, we must dominate the stage with our widely acknowledged good performance.
“A performing party must stamp its authority as a re-electable governing party. Top government officials must henceforth be strongly present in their local governments. There must be a strong synergy between the party and government operatives.
“I commend party members for refusing to walk into political darkness. The one or two leaders who left failed to even take their wives with them. I salute the faithfulness of party leaders and members to remain steadfast,” Adeleke said.
