If Nigerians are still waiting patiently for 2027 presidential elections as if it will be free and fair, then it is clear we are still asleep in the middle of a burning house. We are like people living inside a collapsing building, watching cracks spread across the walls, yet consoling ourselves that maybe one day the landlord will renovate. The bitter truth remains that 2023 was not an election, it was a selection. It was a carefully arranged betrayal of the people’s will. The scars are still fresh, the pain is still raw, yet what shocks me most is how quickly Nigerians have moved on as though nothing happened.
In 2023, millions trooped out under the scorching sun, some traveled miles, some stood in endless queues, some even faced intimidation, all with the hope that their voices would finally count. But what was the outcome? Votes were stolen openly, results were manipulated, and the very institutions that were supposed to protect democracy became weapons against the people. Instead of free and fair elections, what we got was a coronation of the same corrupt class that has been draining Nigeria for decades. Instead of anger and mass resistance, many Nigerians are now waiting for 2027, as if the same broken system will suddenly produce justice.
We must stop deceiving ourselves. Elections in Nigeria as they are currently structured are a scam. They are not designed to bring change, they are designed to legitimize oppression. From independence till now, the same script has played out: empty promises, brazen rigging, endless court battles, and then four more years of hardship. Only a fool repeats the same thing and expects a different result. Nigerians must ask themselves a hard question: are we fools, or are we ready to finally wake up?
The ruling cabal already knows the anger of the people is boiling, so they are now bringing out new masks to deceive us again. This time it is the so called ADC coalition parading themselves as the solution to Nigeria’s problems. But Nigerians must not fall for this trap. The ADC coalition is nothing but the same recycled politicians who have bled this country dry, only wearing new party colors to trick us into believing they are fresh. They are the same criminals in another mask, the same cabal testing another strategy of deceit. If Nigerians make the mistake of following them, it will only be another round of betrayal and more years of suffering.
What this country needs is not another rigged election cycle, not another coalition of recycled crooks. What Nigeria needs is a revolution. A people’s revolution that will shake the foundations of this rotten system. A revolution that will force the cabal to step aside and allow the will of the people to prevail. Without revolution, there will never be true democracy in Nigeria. Without revolution, 2027 will simply be a replay of 2023, and after that, 2031 will be a replay of 2027, and the cycle of deceit will continue until Nigeria completely collapses.
Revolution does not mean violence for the sake of violence. It means an organized and sustained uprising of the people demanding justice, accountability, and freedom. It means taking ownership of our country and refusing to be slaves any longer. It means mobilizing students, workers, market women, okada riders, pastors, professionals, the unemployed, and the forgotten masses. Every sector of society must rise and declare that enough is enough.
At the heart of this revolution must be courageous and uncompromising leadership. Whether people like it or not, Omoyele Sowore stands out as one of the few Nigerians in recent history who has shown consistency, sacrifice, and fearless commitment to confronting this corrupt system. He has been arrested, beaten, harassed, and yet he never sold out. He has remained unbending in the face of threats and temptations. If Nigerians are serious about breaking free, then we must rally around revolutionary leaders like Sowore who have proven that they cannot be bought or silenced. Supporting him is not just politics, it is survival. It is about reclaiming our dignity and reactivating Nigeria back to factory mode.
Look around and ask yourself if this is the country you want to continue living in. Food prices are skyrocketing, fuel costs have crippled families, unemployment is destroying dreams, the naira is collapsing daily, insecurity has become the new normal, kidnappers roam freely, and bandits dictate the fate of entire regions. Students are stuck at home for months during strikes, graduates roam the streets jobless, hospitals are death traps, while the children of the ruling elite study abroad and enjoy the best healthcare. Is this not enough reason to say we cannot wait until 2027?
The question remains: how long will Nigerians endure humiliation? How long will we remain silent while the oppressors grow fat on our poverty? How long will we pretend that change will come through a process that has been rigged from the very beginning?
Nigerians must wake up. The time is now, not 2027. We must take to the streets, we must demand justice, we must mobilize in our schools, communities, workplaces, churches, and mosques. The message must be clear: we will not accept another repeat of 2023. We will not sit quietly and watch history mock us again.
The revolution begins first in our minds, then in our voices, and finally in our actions. No oppressor in history has ever willingly handed over power without the people rising to demand it. Freedom is never given, it is taken. Nigerians must decide: either we wake up now and act, or we sleep on and let 2027 happen to us. But one thing is certain: the price of silence is eternal slavery.
Wake up, Nigerians. The time for revolution is now.
