Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has wiped his Instagram profile clean, leaving no traces of his previous posts.

The 24-year-old singer did not reveal the reason for his actions.

In addition to deleting all of his Instagram posts, Rema also removed his profile picture and any mention of his record label, creating a stark and puzzling emptiness on his page.

Rema first gained widespread attention after uploading a freestyle rap video to D’Prince’s “Gucci Gang” on Instagram.

The freestyle quickly went viral, catapulting the young artist to fame and securing him a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World record label.

The impromptu, social media-driven start to Rema’s music career established him as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, with his unique style and fresh approach to rap garnering significant attention and praise.

Following his breakthrough freestyle, Rema was swiftly signed to Mavin Records, a leading Nigerian record label founded by music producer and artist Don Jazzy. In March 2019, just a few months after his initial online success, Rema joined the Mavin family as the youngest artist on the label’s roster, cementing his status as a rising talent within the industry.
