The National Broadcast Academy (NBA), the training arm of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), has approved a community service exercise proposed by members of the Career Development With Augustina Armstrong-Ogbonna, CDWAA 2.0 cohort.
In an official letter dated 19th August 2025 and signed by Mrs. O. Inegbedion on behalf of the Academy’s management, the institution confirmed that the cohort has been granted approval to undertake the service on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, at the Academy’s premises in Ikeja, Lagos.
The approval followed a formal request submitted by the group on 16th August 2025. According to the letter, the management expressed gratitude and commendation for the initiative, describing it as a “novelty exercise.”
“The Management has also directed that I convey and extend her thankfulness on this novelty exercise,” the letter stated.
The CDWAA 2.0 cohort is expected to engage in activities that will contribute to the upkeep and development of the Academy while also fostering a spirit of social responsibility among students.
The National Broadcast Academy, located on Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja, remains Nigeria’s premier training institution for broadcast professionals.
Its endorsement of this initiative reflects the institution’s support for student-driven efforts that encourage volunteerism and community development.
