NANS Zone D Declares Days Of Protest

Sequel to the well-broadcasted and well-attended Zoom meeting of NANS Zone D held on Friday, 15th of May 2020, it was unanimously agreed that students storm the social media in protest to demand government acceding to demands as communicated in the NANS statement dated 13th of May, 2020.

These demands are:

  • Provision of Study Allowance of no less than One hundred thousand naira (#100,000) for all students.
  • Special provision to get decent laptop across to students.
  • ASUP, COEASU and ASUU must be consulted on school materials necessary to deliver successful online lectures.
  • Given the truncation of the economic lives of our parents due to the Covid-19 lockdown, we forthwith demand that fees across tertiary institutions be slashed by 50%.

Students, workers and the entire Nigerian people are enjoined to join us as we trend the hashtag
