One Daniel Bassi on Wednesday caused a commotion in the
Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State after climbing a 200 feet telecommunication mast in an attempt to commit suicide.
Naija News learnt that the aluminium technician had climbed
the telecom tower around 8:30 am yesterday and refused to
come down until around 10:30 am when a mammoth crowd
had gathered at the spot.
While residents were still pleading with Bassi, men of the
National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reportedly
arrived at the scene and joined restoring the man’s sanity
from the thought of killing himself.
