THE Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Akinsanya has commissioned the newly constructed ultra-modern mini Seamoriow Stadium located at the Islamic bus stop, Abaranje, Ikotun.
The event which took place over the weekend featured a novelty football match in which male and female footballers thrilled the crowd gathered to witness the commissioning.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the event, Akinsanya said that the idea behind the setting up of the stadium was to nurture sporting talents in the council area, especially in football.
“It is a day which everyone in Igando-Ikotun LCDA is happy to see, that we now have a mini standard stadium. I feel so fulfilled to see that the stadium has been completed and commissioned so that the youths can come to the stadium and watch their darling teams play football again.
“We will not stop here, we will keep doing what we know can bring joy to the people of Igando-Ikotun in a positive way. The field has been taken care of in terms of pitch quality and is open to the academy and youths around the globe,” he added.
