Kidnappers Give Aisha Wahab Deadline To Pay ₦20 Million Ransom Or Be Killed

Kidnappers have given Aisha Wahab a deadly deadline, to pay ₦20 million before 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, October 21, 2025, or be killed.

In a disturbing video seen by PurpleWorld, Aisha is shown crying and begging the public to help raise the ransom as the gunmen points a gun at her head and chest. She pleads for her life, saying her captors have threatened to kill her if the money is not paid before the deadline.

Aisha was kidnapped by gunmen at Igbira Camp in Auchi, Edo State. Her abduction has thrown her family and community into deep fear and distress.

Residents say kidnapping has now become a booming business in Edo State, while the government continues to look the other way. They accused the state government of failing to provide proper security and ignoring its duty to protect the people.

One resident said Edo is fast turning into “the heartbeat of kidnapping” under Governor Monday Okpebholo, pointing out that many previous abductions remain unresolved.

In July 2025, two seminarians were kidnapped at the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary in Ivhianakpodi, Auchi. A Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer was killed during the attack. Even though ransom was reportedly paid by the Catholic Church, the two victims have still not been released.

Many residents are also accusing security agencies of focusing more on harassing and arresting human rights activists instead of fighting criminals. According to one resident, “They are quick to track down activists who speak against the government, but they can’t find kidnappers or their informants.”

The people are now calling on Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Chief Security Officer of the state, to take urgent and decisive steps to stop the growing insecurity that has made Edo one of the most dangerous places for residents and travelers.
