Amidst rising fuel prices and widespread hunger at home, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed the United Kingdom for France.
Masari, in a post on his verified X handle (KabirIbrah64), shared that he had the honor of visiting President Tinubu at his private residence in the UK, where they held productive discussions before their departure to Paris.
“Today, I had the honor of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions. We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement,” Masari wrote.
President Tinubu had departed Nigeria on Wednesday, October 2, for a two-week working vacation in the UK as part of his annual leave.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, previously confirmed the President’s vacation in an official statement.
With no substantial steps taken to address the pressing issue of rising fuel costs, Nigerians are left feeling hopeless and uncertain about the country’s future.
The elimination of fuel subsidies last year May has exacerbated the situation, leading to a further increase in refined oil prices. As Nigerians struggle to cope with the financial strain caused by these hikes, many are left wondering when, or if, the government will take decisive action to alleviate their suffering.
