In a tragic turn of events, a child whose identity remains unknown has lost his life in a fresh building collapse in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
PurpleWorld learnt that the collapse took place due to the heavy downpour in the state on Wednesday morning.
At the scene of the incident, SaharaReporters observed that the residents and onlookers were blaming the collapse on the poor materials used to construct the building.
One of them said, “The way they built in Lagos is worrisome. Look at this collapsed building now, no cement for the pillar, it is just too much of sand.”
A resident of the community confirmed to SaharaReporters that some people were still currently trapped inside the building while efforts were underway to get them rescued alive.
