Closing Down Education: Knowledge Industry For Religion Industry is BAD, by Adeola Soetan

I was in secondary school when I lost my mum. My family refused to tell me in the hostel until I finished my exam 7 days after her death and burial. That’s the value families especially in Yoruba land attached to education in those days and now.

Seeing some governors who are also family heads in the north closing down schools in this jet age of science & technology, for 35 days because of Ramadan is unbelievable & pathetic, a serious attack on the right of children to education.

Your Excellencies, you can’t bribe Allah with your pretentious over religiosity without conscience for good governance. Instead of shutting down schools for religion, use the Ramadan month to reflect on your alleged looting spree, return “excess luggage” to your states purse to develop the education standard in your states, take all children back to school. produce relevant professionals for the future.

Sadly, none of these four states is in top 10 of WAEC & JAMB success standard. Your Excellencies, where are your own children schooling,? Obodo Oyinbo where the knowledge industry is never and can never be closed down for religion for 30-35 days.
