CAF Announces President Tinubu’s Attendance at AFCON Final in Abidjan on Sunday

The President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe have announced that the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, will be watching the AFCON final live in Abidjan, on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

This was made known after a Nigerian journalist asked CAF president, Patrice Motsepe: ‘when can Africa host the World Cup again?’

The CAF president replied: “Nigeria must put in a bid. The Nigerian president (Bola Tinubu) is coming to watch the final on Sunday. I will have a conversation with him about it ” Motsepe said.

Nigeria will take on the hosts, Côte d’Ivoire, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.

The game will be a repeat of the group stage fixture between both countries which the Eagles won 1-0.
