Sultan of Sokoto and the President General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, (JNI), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sunday gave reasons Nigeria is in trouble.
He said the problem Nigeria found herself was due to the citizen’s misdeeds, corruption and political recklessness. The royal father however, asked Muslims across the country to hold special prayers called Al-Qunut against banditry, insurgency and political rascality causing loss of lives in the country.
He said that supplications and invocation of God is the greatest weapon of believers, especially Nigerians at a difficult time like this.
In a statement issued through the Secretary–General of JNI, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, the Sultan said government at all levels should brace-up to the daunting challenges of good governance, reminding them that there is the Day of Reckoning before God.
