Breaking: Police Swoop on Anti-Fuel-Hike Protesters in Lagos; Journalists, Lawyer Arrested Alongside
A combatant dispatch of armed policemen have swooped on anti fuel price-hike protesters in Lagos, this morning.
Members of the Socialist Party of Nigeria (SPN) led by Comrade Taiwo Hassan Soweto and a human rights lawyer, Ayo Ademiluyi have been arrested.
Journalists with Objectv Media, Premium Times, Sahara Reporters and others who were covering the protest were arrested along with them.
They have now been taken to the Lagos Police Command headquarters, where they’re currently being detained.
